Hello,

Just a few words about myself…

• Born in Portsmouth, England in 1966,
• Joined British Army 1985 (Royal Engineers) and landed in Hannover in January 1987,
• Left Army in  1991,
• Married local girl and stayed in Hannover (1989),
• Daughter was born in 1994,
• First “German Net” job was as a marketing assistant for an insurance and real estate company (ca. 1993),
• A couple of other marketing jobs on the German net that I’d rather not go into (I was young and needed the money)
• Founded ABAKUS Internet Marketing in 2002,
• Don’t really support any football team (If pushed I’d say Portsmouth only because I was born there),
• Used to play a reasonable level of Rugby (corps under 21s and German “bundesliga“),
• I used to be a bit of a backgammon buff many moons ago,
• I’m currently a search engine optimization (SEO) Freak.
• Forgotten my English having lived here for the past 22 years so if you spot misspellings and grammar errors then I apologise.
• I’m enjoying life in Hannover and feel it gets a bad rap from those from other parts of Germany.
